       Garden Planning and TappingWell, I've officially started documenting my garden plans. Of course I've now decided to expand the garden, possibly in two places. One will be another shade garden with probably a mix of flowers and edibles. I've already got wineberries growing wild over there, so no reason not to keep them and maybe add more berries. Since I now know hostas as edible, might move mine there, at the very least I'll divide them and put the divisions in that area.Also, I got supplies to tap my one maple as a (requested) Christmas present. So, I'll need to do that at the end of the month.Even though it's winter, and there is snow on the ground... spring is coming.

       I SWORE to myself I was not going to ignore plant spacing this year... sigh.  I want potatoes and sweet potatoes still as well. I have turmeric tubers in my humidifier but they won't sprout. What do you do with hops besides beer? We have some that was here when we moved in. I never looked into uses. Never heard of oca or chinese artichokes. Gonna look those up right now!
