#MehdiHasan isn't perfect but he's been supportive of the Palestinians. He's leaving, after losing his show right after #October7th. #MSNBC is the cable news outlet of the corporate Dems and since they will not be standing up to Israel, he was no longer welcome to having a prominent voice on the platform. I'd love to know how that went down.This is why we have to decentralize and find a new direct support system for all media. The #fediverse is just the start. I wish people could see that.

@wjmaggos I've never had a Twitter account but I understand there was actually moderation and controls to protect from harassment.Network and legacy News are still bound to broadcast casting regulations. The EU is leading in Online regulations.I look forward to a future alignment.

@RememberUsAlways imo even people who support Hamas should be able to post here, just like they can have a website. but moderators should get rid of any death threats and harassment. and everybody is free to pick a server that doesn't federate with other servers, and to block who they want. broadcast forces people to see stuff more than the open web, which is why I think stricter controls there makes sense. I'm sorry you've been subject to mistreatment here. but info bubbles are bad too.

@TruthSandwichI think we have very different definitions of liberal. I use corporate Democrat for people that I feel bow too much to the monied interests over those of the public. I had an argument with Rahm Emanuel because he got the DCCC involved in the congressional primary on behalf of Duckworth when Christine Cegelis had proven she was a strong candidate. He said if she can't raise the money, we need somebody else. I love how you guys treat us like shit but then still demand our votes.

@wjmaggos The only places a "pro-life" candidate can win as a Democrat are the ones that heavily lean towards Republicans.A "better" candidate -- one who's further to the left -- would lose outright, so we vote for the best viable candidate.This is like the complaining about Manchin, who's a terrible person and a borderline Democrat, but still far better than the Republican who will replace him.But, anyhow, you ignored my point.
