Ok mastodon, (or at least the part of it currently going through a big freeze), show me your strange ice pictures, your weird ice spikes, needle ice, hair ice and frazil ice, your beautiful ice crystals. @appassionato @photography Gorgeous photos. I know exactly where the beach ones are taken, that's the beach at Jokulsarlon in Iceland - I did my PhD fieldwork on the glacier behind that produces all those icebergs - it's a wonderful location, and probably the most photographed glacier in the world. A worthy entry to #icetodon. Also some very fine hoar frost needles!
