"making cities accessible to people without cars seems hard" I mean sure but you know what's fucking impossible? Getting everyone a car. Global car ownership is 5 percent and the cost is only going up. When you learn enough, you realize the only reason to think car-centric cities are acceptable is if you are ok with most people being completely screwed over. Such infrastructure is elitist cruelty and must be dismantled.

And eliminating car dependency is even beneficial to car owners! If you are easily able to get places without driving that means you are going to spend less on gasoline and oil changes. The road would have fewer collisions and insurance premiums would plummet. You wouldn't have to worry about being humiliated by a traffic cop when you wipe out on icy roads because you'd just take the train to that farwaway place you really need to be on a snowy day. Oh gee wait a minute, it's almost like a handful of industries are preventing this from happening for selfish reasons and deluding you guys into thinking it's for your own good. But just imagine! Your car costing a fraction of what it does, other options being readily available, and you getting to preserve its gas and lifespan for a handful of special trips that you'll be able to spend your extra money enjoying.

as part of walkable cities i think every block should have a pepperoni roll stand that makes pepperoni rolls and you can put the pepperoni rolls in the community microwave or just go home and enjoy your pepperoni roll.
