Anyone have suggestions for a De-Googled phone? Used model, not brand new. I have liked E/os/ - e foundation in the past. https://e.foundation/

@matthew iOS is all that’s left. BlackBerry and windows phone are dead and gone. But if you want to play with fire maybe think about graphene.

@matthew I don't use e/os but they say they build with microg and I use a microg build of LineageOS on a pixel 2. You can buy anything that's on the lineage OS supported list but Google's phones are actually the easiest to degoogle because there are so many developer eyes on them. Then you can also go the graphene OS route if you decide degoogling is too hard. Personally, I went the local nextcloud route to provide the "cloud services".

I decided on the older Moto X4 as it is on the list of phones for both e/os/ and lineage os. It is also available at a reasonable price in the used market.

@matthew GrapheneOS is my hands down pick for the most secure, private, and functional OS which will work on most used unlocked Pixels. Installation is quite easy.

@matthew I use Samsung S9 for /e/OS. It is on Android 11 version of stable /e/OS, I think they prepare for Android 13. And if I remember correctly, it is ready for Android 13 with LineageOS. Note, this is Samsung SM-G960F (starlte), if you are eg in US you probably have another version with another chipset and above does not apply (situation unknown to me).
