       I did the maths, and this 2 pound one ounce loaf of Dutch Oven bread, made with orgasmic bread flour, salt, yeast, and water, costs me about $1.50 to make, including electricity. A loaf like that in the city would go for $6.60 or even $8.80.

       @raintrees I'm retired. It takes about one hour's worth of time working on the dough, and the result is fantastic and is free of chemicals and stabilizers. You do the maths on whether that's a good value or not.
