It stressful and disappointing to shop for clothes when you're the size of a fucking ork.192 cm (6'4") with broad shoulders and size 46 (US: 13) feet. They never have my size anywhere. I see plenty of cool clothes that I can't wear and it can take me some time to find something that I like and will also fit me. It's usually more expensive too.I lost plenty of weight but I have broad shoulders, so I still have to use huge sizes like 4XL for shirts.

It would frankly be amazing to wear tailored clothes to have a nice fit for once. A lot of what I wear doesn't fit well because my proportions are non-standard.

@thor As a heavier guy I almost need to get something tailored or it wont remotely work. That said on a budget you can tailor stuff yourself easily enough.

@freemo There's a maker space I know of that has a sewing machine. But I feel kind of clumsy working with fabrics. The results never look great.

@thor If your going to literally make something from scratch then yea, that takes some skill. But if you want to buy something you are just going to adjust (like hem the legs and arms) that takes much less skill.

@freemo Sounds good on paper. Now to find the motivation...

@freemo I would never be seriously considering this if I wasn't enrolled in job coaching:https://berserker.town/@thor/111693179108805490Just having a real person in the flesh recommending it to me is fairly important. Feels less hypothetical that way.

@thor Yeah, being long-tail abnormal on sizing sucks. I've got a 38in inseam and a 36in waist, and most pants come in a 36in inseam at longest. On top of that, when tall and skinny it's difficult to find sizes long enough that aren't also parachutes. Not many manufacturers make something with the chest size of a typical US large with the length of a 2XL. If you like cargo pants in a BDU style, I know of a place that makes them custom for $48 a pair, but the shipping to Norway would likely suck.

@thor You'd probably be able to get away with just using their standard sizing chart to get them even cheaper than custom, but don't know offhand for sure.
