Feminist woman publishes blog by another woman who explains that she does not want to hire any more women - because of all the melodrama.https://clarissasblog.com/2014/05/14/i-dont-want-to-hire-women/The blog owner added a blob about how she doesn't want anyone to comment about how men and women are different. Because although the blog she published is all about how men and women are different, she clings to the ridiculous idea that they are equal because they HAVE to be equal and any apparent differences are just a result of "socialization" or whatever. She basically thinks that if only men and women were treated exactly the same way, they would actually behave the same way, could achieve the same things etc.The baffling part is that she doesn't understand that even a difference in socialization still would represent a REAL difference, so whether the difference is inborn or learned, it seems sufficiently widespread to be clearly connected with something different about men and women 🙄The level of denial is epic: there are tons of biological differences between men and women with obviously consequences:- women's brains are slightly smaller than men's, on average, so their brain organization must be different, which is a fact- one of those differences is the corpus callosum (the nerve bridge between the 2 brain hemispheres), which is larger, in women, meaning their 2 brain hemispheres can communicate faster.- women have periods that severely affect their bodies and their brains, leading to mood swings etc.- women are physically not as strong as men, leading to different behavior strategies - more generally speaking, women's reproductive mode and constraints are radically different from men's, leading to radically different forms of behavior and radically different outcomes.Nothing about this is a negative, for women, unless they WANT to be like men. It's exactly like that famous study about why men win most Scrabble competitions, although only 15% of scabble competition participants are men.The study found that men spend a lot more time on perfecting their vocabulary than women, hence the study authors ventured that if the women invested as much time as the men into improving their language skills, they could achieve the same results, but that they were not willing to "waste all that of time" for something "so irrelevant as winning at scrabble".The study authors totally missed the point that this difference in preference & resulting behavior was THE obvious difference between men and women! Men have higher rates of autism. They are more likely to spend a lot of time on perfecting skills, on solving problems etc. That difference is inborn, it is not learned. How do we know that with 100% certainty? Because the same difference can be observed in men and women who grew up with or without a father, with or without a mother and in radically different cultures. Some behaviors are definitely learned. They are the ones that men lack when they grew up without a father (and vice versa for women). Why this should be difficult to admit is honestly beyond me.Yes, men and women are different.Yes, the differences are biological and inborn, for the most part. Yes, this does have consequences on how men and and women make decisions. This is all normal and cannot be changed, not without causing severe harm to the individual

I'm not a feminist, but I agree women shouldn't be hired. It makes the lines at the bathroom too long.

Any honest HR person will tell you…. It’s women making all the drama in the workplace.

Okay. I’m along with you for most of this. But then you mention autism, which changes the way the brain processes information, and with it the behaviors, outcomes, etc. Now, you said men have higher rates of autism. (That’s debatable, but not relevant at the moment.) The important thing is that women still sometimes have autism, which can masculinize the female brain and produce more masculine behaviors and thought patterns, which can then lead to more masculine results. I’m not saying we should change the rules for the sake of the exceptions, but as a person who has lived the “exceptional” life, I become very tired of the assumption that all women should somehow be scooped back into a “woman” category. Gender roles and expectations are important, yes. But if they become so rigid that individuals who fail to conform to them can’t comfortably navigate through society, this is also a problem.
