@lowqualityfacts Actually, in most cases this is a ninja trick. It is really six ninjas disguised as a sumo wrestler. A ninja master, who has lived for 763 years, is able to accomplish the feat by themselves. Obviously, there are very few of such individuals. Any other obese ninjas are either, under a voodoo curse (lifting the curse requires eating a large quantity of jerk chicken while dancing to polka music), or a sumo wrestler disguised as a ninja. The number of both of those, while very low, is still surprisingly higher than most people think.

@lowqualityfacts I'm going to offer some high quality facts (as I understand them) about ninjas because they're cool.Ninjas were originally just hunters from the Iga mountains. They were trained from childhood in the skills necessary to hunt: stalking, waiting, striking when unexpected. At such point as they became involved with armies and military affairs, they were able to translate their hunter skills directly to assassination.The mystique that developed later - secret rituals, martial arts expertise, etc - that's all embellishment. Ninjas were guerilla fighters, and as with everywhere, guerilla fighters are devastatingly successful assassins when pitted against armies trained to fight like armies.The ninja costume, as we know it, is actually a stagehand's outfit in Japanese theatre. When there were dramas that involved ninjas, the deal was that there was no hiding from them, and death could strike from anywhere. So it would sometimes be handled on stage by one of the stagehands (whom theatre-goers were used to ignoring) would pull out a knife and kill a character.
