       In "Swamp Story," Dave Barry describes the efforts of some small-time pot-dealers/potheads  to make a fake cryptid video of a "mellonhead" that somehow made its way from the midwest to the Everglades. Barry's description of the shooting and resulting video is hilarious. What sticks in my head is, responding to something like, "It's some kind of monster!" one of the potheads turns to the camera and says gravely, "It's a mellon monster."  (Trust me, Barry's description is *way* better than mine, which is why he got a Pulitzer for self-described "booger journalism.")

       The past all melds together...Seems this year had nothing particularly memorable.I can recall reading the Strugatsky novel, but vaguely what was in it.

       From "The Spacer's Companion," I can't recall the title of the specific story, but there is one in which one of the angels comes to visit a ghetto space colony.Without spoiling anything, hopefully, the angel is a kind of alien life form, and the way its presence  was described and anticipated by the protagonist left me with a kind of sense of wonder and hope.You guys should check out the collection if you already haven't.https://www.amazon.com/Spacers-Companion-Michael-Hein-ebook/dp/B0CNP19Y4Q/

       Would have to be Tales from the Gas Station Vol. 4 when I learned of the real reason why “Jerry” left his family and took up the life he had when he met with Jack. And also learning he was the cause of a certain group forming. 😳

       I think the Haunted Mansion in Onmyoji and Tengu Eyes (vol 1). I just liked the description of the creepy ghost mansion that only appeared at night.
