Once upon a time it was entirely possible, even a good idea, to buy a used Range Rover.Up until about 2004 you could get a used 10 year old Range Rover, the last of the model year with the old aluminium block Buick V8, designed in the early 60ies.Got great mileage, reasonably powerful, decent off-road vehicles.Sure, the doors might not open, or close, and the heater wouldn't really work, and the lights were rather dim, but the engine and drivetrain were fine. Perfectly reliable.It was actually realistically possible for an average person to own and operate one.In my experience. Had a 1992 one. Ran great. Awesome car.The proper ones were made between 1970-1994. No longer recommended, due to age.After that there was a time you could get a Land Rover Discovery instead, those were made between 1989-1998, and were basically the same thing, but looked a little different.Decent vehicles, OK reliability (apart from the whole electrical system thing), fairly sturdy.You could do this, between 1975-2005, and get a great car for not too much.Now? 2024 AD...Get a used Range Rover/Land Rover and you have failed on every level. Should have bought anything else.They no longer have the 60ies Buick that works fine after 150K. They got something that starts falling apart after ~5000 miles. Modern! Progress!You can get a used Dacia Duster 4X4 now, with 380K on the clock, and still works fine. That's what I'd expect from a modern car, not total failure within 10K.Weird.Funny thing, Mercedes Benz reliability started going down the drain in 1994 as well.

ClansmanBlended Scotch, 40%.Don't bother with the ice, it totally ruinates the flavor.Smells nice, but the taste is sub-par. I mean, everything else on the list preceding this is better.But this was the cheapest one I saw, and I just really needed some whiskey in my bloodstream.I think they intend this to be a little bit over-consumed, if you know what I mean.
