Society seems much less atomized than in the USA, and in some regards I'd say that a lot of societal structures seem quite robust, and would probably organize themselves more tightly under full assault from a psychotic government, I guess?

       @mar77i BUT in 2022 we had racial laws here in Switzerland too, and not many of us were at protests, so I am not quite sure we are safe. And, much worse, we are completely surrounded by gigantic CommEU: we need nuclear weapons...

       @LucaCH I don't dispute that. But still, so much good acre in secluded corners, easily secured natural barriers, so much good iron in buildings and other good material to start over with, even if you'd imagine a decade of war on top of it and combustion fuels vanishing entirely.
