       I just followed a few hashtags, and my feed is so much more fun!I'd been cautious and limited my follows so as to keep my scroll time down to 5-10 minutes. Every week or two when I had extra time, I'd go look at hashtags. So. Much. Stuff. But... If I subscribed and kept up every day instead of working through a backlog? Would that work?So far, so good! Feed size is still manageable and I'm effectively following more people. And saying "wow!" more.

       @ericphelps I didn't know you could follow hashtags...  I wonder how effective that would be on my self hosted instance.Now you've piqued my curiosity... Which ones did you choose to follow?

       @funnylookinhat I'm following hiking and kayaking. I'm not much of a hiker any more, but the people who are always post such gorgeous pictures.

       @funnylookinhat Hashtags probably won't work for you. The posts have to already be on the server because someone else is following them.Maybe there's a way to set up a bot account on a popular server that would boost selected hashtags... Then you could follow your bot(s). I recall running into a bot that boosted all cat photos. Wait... I have vague memories of a service that dies something like this. It's kind of a group / common interest thing. Ahh, found it. https://a.gup.pe/
