       Take it from an ex-zookeeper:If you ever find yourself going to a zoo, no matter what your conflicted feelings are, you can always know that you will bring a little joy to the animals there if you wear a costume or silly hat or something.  People watch them; they watch people.  Give them something interesting to look at.
