Anyone have any insight into why this church has what looks like a Magen David with fire in it, suspended over a sea of flames, on their stained glass window?Apologies for the poor quality photo. I could be seeing things wrong. One panel looks like tnt and a knife, and another looks like an angelic poodle with the grim reaper behind it. 🤔 I know that’s not right.I believe it is a Lutheran church. #Symbolism #Jewish #Clueless

@littlemiao The Shield/Star of David is not an uniquely Jewish symbol. It's nowadays almost exclusively used by jews (and we to a good degree have the Nazis to thank for that), but it used to be a symbol in Christianity as the "Creator's Star" and in Islam as the "Seal of Solomon".

@dequbed What @littlemiao said: the star of David is often used in Christian symbolism. In this particular case, I think there is also a link to either one of the apostles of Jesus, or to one of the evangelists of the New Testament, but I haven't been able to trace that back to the Christian saint.
