Question! Is it possible to expose device (bluetooth dongles for example) to another Linux machine?I have a Raspberry Pi Zero W, with bluetooth, that I want to access from another machine to read and write to different devices nearby.I know that Plan9 can do it ;)#askfedi #askfediverse

@selea Pretty sure if nothing else you could jury-rig a Unix socket to it, and expose that socket over SSH.Hopefully something slightly more elegant exists. 🙂

@selea maybe use usb over ip for the adapter, i haven't tried it, but this question and it's answers look thorough enough to might get you a step further; https://superuser.com/questions/934372/bluetooth-over-ip

@selea I've used USB/IP for sound and video devices, it works. It's a bit fragile and has no security, but as long as you are okay with that 'it works'

@martijn It fell short because the BT-adapter is not connected to the USB-bus :(

@martijn But I found another project that aimed to do exactly what I wanted to do, but it is dead since many years :(

@martijn I have no idea, I have not found the source-code or the package yet :P
