       @HiroProtagonist They can't show what a real civil war would look like: not dramatic enough and doesn't support the narrative well enough.  A new civil war will not be like the last American one, it will be like Syria, or Kosovo, or Russia at the end of the Tsarist period: militias struggling for control of specific regions, cities, towns, or even city blocks.  The one unique element may be the cities vs. countryside aspect; not sure there's a precedent for that.

       @HiroProtagonist I noticed the glasses too . . . was wondering if there was some sort of "rose colored glasses" snark going on or if it was just to make the guy's affiliation murky, so that our "journalist hero" would have to guess how to answer him (suspense!).
