       So just after it no longer matters, Ofcom has finally decided that you shouldn't be allowed to call broadband 'fibre broadband' when er, isn't fibre all the way.That would have been useful a few years ago. Who cares now, we're *actually* rolling out real fibre to more and more people anyhow.

       @VModifiedMind Fibre or not isn't really important, though. If someone offered gigabit over copper wires, I'd happily use that. Conversely, I'd avoid a fibre service capped at a very low speed.

       @mansr @VModifiedMind I see your point but the noise and signal propagation characteristics are notably different so I might be tempted to take the slower fibre option still if my neighbour liked cheap unshielded electronics for example.
