Instead of endlessly talking about what would be a "fair amount" to tax the rich instead just do itEven if you throw up a dice and go with that it's prob more then it's current number 😟They got away with decades of tax benefits already, it's time they make up some of that

@stux +1 (or... +1 billion? 🤔 )I can think of no societal benefit to any individual's incremental wealth over $1 billion. Heck, I'd probably draw the line at $100 million. And yet, here the world is. 😞

@stux and at least some of the workarounds would inevitably (even if accidentally) result in the money re-entering the economy instead of being hoarded, which is really the most important part!

@stux It's not up to the rest of us to decide what the appropriate tax rate is.Instead, bring out Madame Guillotine and let the billionaires suggest their own tax rates. Eventually, they'll suggest a number where the crowd goes, yeah, ok, and puts Madame back into the shed.

@stux I kind of like the idea of making the tax proportional to the benefit one enjoys by being a citizen. When it comes to the benefit of being a billionaire in America, we can begin with the value of the rule of law and all the protections of their treasure that rich people obviously like.
