       @amerika @AlanSill Lufthansa (German airline) flew over 18,000 empty planes on flights in Europe last year just so they didn't lose their slots at the airports. Anyone who wants to lecture me about my "personal carbon footprint" can pound sand.

       @amerika @caekislove Bad actions on the part of corporations are no excuse for inaction on a personal level. The effect of lowering personal impact must of course be multiplied by many people taking such actions to be effective. Let’s take transportation and food, for example as they each have, according to current estimates, roughly equal carbon emissions. Switching to lower carbon emission vehicles, or consuming less meat, can only help if many people do so.
