I'm sorry this pisses some people off, but it's true.A vote for No Labels, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cornel West or any other third-party candidate is effectively a vote for Trump. Not voting is as well. https://www.democracydocket.com/opinion/donald-trumps-plot-against-america/

@marcelias only in purple states. what pisses me off is the Democratic party's opposition to #RankedChoiceVoting.https://time.com/6112318/american-democracy-final-five-voting/

@wjmaggos @marcelias That's because RCV is being pushed by the anti-Democratic left as part of their attempt to destroy the DNC.

@TruthSandwich @marcelias that tweet doesn't say what you're claiming. only having two viable options is not very democratic. RCV exists in lots of places and most voters consider it a huge improvement. in Alaska, FFV gave them better representation than Palin, when the duopoly system would have put her in office. it would definitely lessen the power of the DNC (and GOP) but please explain how it would destroy them. it would mean public money would no longer be spent on party primaries.

@wjmaggos @marcelias Oh, sorry, not direct enough for you?The Justice Democrats keep bragging that their goal is to take over the DNC by ousting the liberals and replacing them with socialist populists.#uspol #populism

@wjmaggos @marcelias I've proven my original point, which is that the people pushing RCV aren't pro-democracy, just anti-liberal.

@jeff With specifically Palestinian Americans, calling their refusal to vote for someone who provided the bombs that in some cases killed loved ones as “posturing” isn’t going to play well. The electoral college is what earnestly has me worried. See below from a piece from The Guardian. I think we can agree that taking demographics for granted without meaningfully addressing their greivances isn’t a long term strategy to win.

@Hunter @jeff A Trump victory would be worse for Palestinian Americans and Arab Americans. That's not posturing, that's simple fact.

@jeff I agree that things would be worse under a Trump presidency. Why I bring this perspective up is because based on what I see on Instagram and TikTok (and is supported with polling) is an alarming level of disaffection amongst young people. I don’t see the “a vote for ___ is a vote for ___” argument resonating. They know it would be worse with Trump. I think people are underestimating the willingness of many who feel taken for granted to let it all burn down.
