       It’s annoying to be on a GLOBAL platform and see people vaguely referencing places, political parties, or local celebs as if everyone in the world should know them.

       @jasonmashak I am unaware of any fediverse implementations focused on localization. Something like Nextdoor in the fediverse would be nice, but that might somewhat require verification of people's location. This could be a challenge to do.

       @Bernard I don’t think that’s possible with any social network, unless it’s a paid ad. That’s why people should be conscious of the ‘global’ aspect when creating a message.
