       @killyourfm I guess mine was Deluxe Music on the Amiga, even though that was more of a notation editor than a DAW (I could only write scores, not record other instruments). Nevertheless, it's where I first started composing my music: I recently recovered some of the ideas from old floppies! There was also a simple software on the MSX but I can't remember the name

       @killyourfm Mine was probably ProDrum on the #c64 but I did more a little later with ScreamTracker on the PC.#daw #music

       @killyourfm My first DAW was a Commodore 64 connected to a 4-track cassette recorder, running software I wrote over about 3 years. I'd type in a sequence of pitches using either the standard C0 through B6 selecting from a variety of tuning systems, or ratios for just intonation... then I'd play the pitches by pressing keys in real time, didn't matter which, except for the number keys which changed the 3-voice soundchip to different settings i'd pre-programmed. All trash now in a landfill.

       @killyourfm I rented the previous version of that one weekend, and had a blast. So I guess that was my first DAW. My first ‘proper’ DAW though was GarageBand after getting a MacBook in 2007. I use Logic Pro if I’m working with audio these days, but still have uses for GB on iPad.
