people like to talk about rust being slow to build, but i regularly build a large go project, and some large rust projects. both have similar dependency counts. their build times for cold builds are comparable. the build times for hot builds are interesting too, cargo: 0.38s, go: 6.9s.I'm using lld as the linker. I wonder if a substantial amount of this pain / common thinking comes from people who are using the gnu linker and don't know how much it's costing them?
