@robpike the one doing this to me persistently has never contacted me directly. I've responded to their lawyer, two of their doctors, a mortgage broker, several awful politicians, quite a few of their family members and know about a great deal of random purchases. Turns out we actually needed some more email domains :(

@robpike the thing that amazes me with it right now is that most metrics point to gmail being one of the highest spam sources. It seems really like that part in particular should be easy to substantially improve. For one thing locking out large volume mail sends for accounts without 2FA enabled.

@rygorous yeah, and/or just didn’t want to deal with rewriting all the tools. Fuchsia went with elf for mostly the tooling reasons. It certainly did avoid the need for a lot of toolchain driver and debug tooling work.

@ian @bert that’s probably generous, I just have a very low tolerance for prompt lag

@mjg59 I know it’s not what you asked, but I use the native Unix sockets these days

@mjg59 interesting. I’ve been testing the 1Password agent and passing it through to wsl via a named pipe / Unix socket mess with a thing called npiperelay

@womble I mean I’d like to know that, but the thing I would love to know even more is: exposed where? There’s a huge difference between “we logged it to our s3 logs bucket” and “we committed it to a public git repo” and where on this gradient it is really matters to me as a user

@ian @fugueish @maruel @zekjur in practical terms, it’s just not going to hit the 25gbps target right now on low power hardware, in fact it doesn’t even have drivers for the relevant nics

@ian @fugueish @maruel @zekjur yeah, it might not be that bad (in relative terms) to actually port dpdk and some of the associated drivers, but still a big time investment

@ian @fugueish @maruel @zekjur the go runtime fork for fuchsia is also in desperate need of love unless it somehow got restaffed after I left
