       If I had any clue what I‘m doing it would probably be much easier to port this project from the #Arduino IDE to #PlatformIO.Either way this one requires some wiggle room.

       It compiles!But I cannot upload it because #PlatformIO doesn’t seem to support this specific type/version/variant of ESP32.Also the print on this board probably does not match the actual hardware.I hate microcontrollers, especially when they‘re fake-fakes and not even genuine fakes.And how can I find out what chip this actually is and how to get it into programming mode?

       @MacLemon I think @SlicerDicer may have a suggestion

       @MacLemon Well you could use the esp idf with the arduino framework. It works exceptionally well.

       @SlicerDicer That misses the point and the problem at hand in multiple ways.

       @MacLemon What do you mean? All the variants are in the esp easily able to be used? I have no issues using them that way. PlatformIO can be a pain. I’ve stopped using it in fact.

       @MacLemon I had problems with flashing ESPs via PlatformIO too a few years ago.I tried to flash, but all I got were bootloops. It seemed like PlatformIO couldn't get the chip into the right mode.I think I ended up changing FLASH_MODE, using esptool.py directly and/or reading the ESP datasheet and putting it into flash mode by pulling down the right pin on reset manually.Hope this helps :)

       @wildbird I never had problems with flashing so far. I‘m already manually pulling down IO0 on Reset to put the board into flash mode. `esptool` still times out trying to serial communicate with this type of ESP32 only.

       @MacLemon @wildbird >> `esptool` still times out trying to serial communicate with this type of ESP32 only.Try a different computer with different usb. Is this a esp32-s3?
