@libreoffice Ist the convening a working *localized* installation and a fat Board for x86_64 AND aarm64?Because the downloadable version is complete impossible to deploy in a corporate setting. And the terrible localization script that is offered does not recognize LibreOffice as a version it can localize. Is the AppStore version any better than this?

@nextcloud None. We don’t use Talk at all, since there is no desktop client for macOS. Our users refuse web-chat interfaces.Still wondering why I bother to post a reply, since that account isn’t read by anyone at Nextcloud anyway.

@nextcloud 7 multiple corporate and NGOs. Federation is mostly a marketing claim that doesn’t really work in reality if it exists at all. This lack of integration with itself is the biggest hurdle to adoption.

@Vorsos @davemark Did you know, there are actually labels for plugs and ports defined in the USB Type-C Cable and Connector standard released by the USB Implemented Forum.The one in the picture is not one of them, it‘s also not really helpful. So it’s either a very old cable or a non-certified, meaning not-reasonably tested, cheap cable which will not necessarily actually deliver what they wrote on that plug.

@m0xee It was even worse before USB as I‘ve iterated upon in my USB talks. :-)For USB (Type-C) charging there are multiple parties involved. The charger, the cable, the device and the protocols to negotiate how power is transferred. Via standard USB PowerDelivery or one of the MANY proprietary charging implementations. (This is covered in my second USB talk in detail.)It‘s not easy to single out the one culprit in that constellation. It may well be a combination that fails.

If I had any clue what I‘m doing it would probably be much easier to port this project from the #Arduino IDE to #PlatformIO.Either way this one requires some wiggle room.

It compiles!But I cannot upload it because #PlatformIO doesn’t seem to support this specific type/version/variant of ESP32.Also the print on this board probably does not match the actual hardware.I hate microcontrollers, especially when they‘re fake-fakes and not even genuine fakes.And how can I find out what chip this actually is and how to get it into programming mode?

@wildbird I never had problems with flashing so far. I‘m already manually pulling down IO0 on Reset to put the board into flash mode. `esptool` still times out trying to serial communicate with this type of ESP32 only.

@nextcloud I’m suspecting that https://scan.nextcloud.com has a DNS problem for a good week now. No matter which of my Nextcloud instances I put in there to security-scan, the only response I get is “Host not found”.Tried with multiple different browsers, without Adblock/Tracking Blocker, Extensions. Same result.Maybe your OPS team can find a moment to look into that?Thanks in advance.
