@Rasp I do get the sentiment and I've had it before, however the counter point forever and always will be the same as playing the lottery. Winning might be unlikely but you still can't win if you don't play.

@ashten @lonerfanaticThese are all things I desperately want for myself but due to my disability have been impossible to work on.I don't like the thing I am now. I hate my body I hate my constant anxiety attacks and always being overwhelmed. I hate everything about myself.

@Rasp @ashten @lonerfanatic I think the biggest barrier for dating would probably be you not feeling like you’re good enough, not that you actually aren’t enough. There are probably plenty of people who would think that you’re more than enough for them, but you don’t think that you’re enough for your own goals or standards, it seems (please correct me if I’m wrong here).I don’t think that completely shutting the door on the potential for a new relationship is ever truly a good idea, since you never know who might come along, but I would suspect the best path forward would be to continue working on yourself and only dating someone if they’re the type of person that will/can help you become the person that you want to be.
