@Rasp I do get the sentiment and I've had it before, however the counter point forever and always will be the same as playing the lottery. Winning might be unlikely but you still can't win if you don't play.

@IveyJanette @HeavenlyPossum I would argue that people are already in camps at the border and that additionally prisons are a form of camp that are already filled to the brim with all the people you just mentioned. Not to mention using those "population" numbers to juice electoral votes. And let's not forget who wrote the crime bills that made that possible, oh right it's Biden. This is Biden's America. We're already here.

@IveyJanette @HeavenlyPossum yeah I haven't fully decided where my general election vote is going yet but I just voted uncommitted in the Oregon primary and he def won't be getting my vote if nothing changes. I'm sorry but the things will get worse with the other guy argument is worthless to me when the better option is still genocide and he already has a hugely problematic history. Nah, just nah

@IveyJanette @HeavenlyPossum funnily enough we only were registered as Dems so we could vote for Bernie last time. We figured it would be the only time we could vote for him so we did it. Never bothered to update it since and now I can use it to tell him he's a shit which I rather enjoyed.

@Radical_EgoCom @ErgonWolf the issue I have with non-violence as a method to move forward is that you can be principled against it all you want, but as long as there are capitalists, they will use violence against us. If you think you can avoid violence AND move away from capitalism, I think you're dreaming.

@Radical_EgoCom that is very noble and I'm not opposed to it, the issue lies in the fact that it needs support, organization and infrastructure that cannot exist within capitalism. So how do we get there from here without cracking a few eggs as they say? Ftr I don't think we need to go from old school France. I think a few well placed examples will make the rest accept the future without them at the top.

If you think climate change or class or being a different group that's also oppressed (such as women) has any effect whatsoever on your white privilege you do not deserve the time of day to be heard. If you've ever come away from an interaction with a cop, no matter how small, and you're still here, there are untold amounts of people who can't say the same. Take a breath and do something besides complain.
