       @d6 And that's on top of Google's interested gatekeeping of the information. You are never going to get the best information *for you* if that goes against their benefits. Ads and promoted content are the core problem.Does it matter that people game the system if the system is corrupt by design? And the core problem is what provides the incentive for this type of action.Not sure how can be fixed tbh.

       @reidrac If Google's system is "corrupt by design", then why is their search engine still, objectively, the best one?You'd think that by now someone would come up with a better search engine that's not beholden to advertising and any of its supposed perverse incentives.@d6
