       Kudos to Macy’s which went ahead with plans to have the Broadway cast of & Juliet perform in its annual Thanksgiving Parade in NYC. The so-called “Millions Moms” had protested the presence of two out trans performers and had threatened a boycott of the broadcast. I’m glad no one paid those shrill voices of censorship any heed.

       @freemo @georgetakei I will never understand this either. A man marrying another man- doesn’t affect you. A trans actor in a play- doesn’t affect you. Someone wearing a mask over their face- doesn’t affect you. So why are they OBSESSED with these things?

       @LexiGirl Honestly I dont know.Best answer I have is they have been in so many fights, ones they probably started in many cases (well except maybe the masks, that initiates the other way) that they associate them with the confrontation.Not that thats an excuse, its just the only psychological explanation I can think of, a learned pattern with no logic.

       @LexiGirl @freemo @georgetakei I'm sure it's about control: they want their beliefs enforced at all costs, and they do it under the guise of "saving" people. It may not even be conscious for many of them--they don't see "saving" as power & control; they just crave the fulfillment of "saving" people, which equals exerting power. Their self-worth is tied wholly to the ability to control others. But they'll never understand that about themselves--they're incapable of that degree of self-awareness.

       @dinogami I think all sides are about control in that respect.. no shortage of those on the left who want control at all costs and are willing to even be violent to get it, must like the right is and has been willing to do.Thankfully while the right seems obsessed about judging you based on your genitals the left judges you on very different criteria outside of the scope here.@LexiGirl @georgetakei
