       @dsilverman Interesting points.If Microsoft want to get to the consumer market with AI, a phone is pretty much the only option. As Apple and Google will use their own AIs, making a new phone platform is probably the only move. So it makes sense.

       @dsilverman It could be a wearable or in the further future an implant, but I still think the only real option that would work is a phone. Do you have another suggestion?

       @john Keep in mind that it was just a year ago that generative AI in both image and text had breakthroughs that instantly made them consumer-level products. The “short term” gets shorter all the time. There are always surprises.
