My wife wanted a taller tree this year, so we bought a 12 footer. It was up 2 hours and I had to fix a segment of lights that quit. Then we put the topper on and it was totally unsafe from my 8 foot ladder. So off to buy a 12 foot ladder. Expensive tree. Here's the old tree last year, and the new one. Old tree was 9 foot.

@Timtoolman i got a huge one last year. It was 6ft across at the bottom. It was almost the end of me and I had to wire it to the wall. Im ready to get a fake one but my wife says we have to wait until we're old. I asked her what mirror she's lookin at. Might not have been the best comment

@Phil We have been doing fake for 20 years plus. Back in Utah we used to go up in the mountains with friends and cut trees together. It was a wonderful time. Here in the Midwest real trees are outrageous and no fun to get.

@Timtoolman It's pretty. Y'all are well on your way with the Christmas spirit.My husband put up our outdoor tree last Saturday. I've never known him to put it out before Thanksgiving.I'll admit I'm enjoying it though.Was so pretty when I came up the driveway tonight.

@Bleukitty My wife loves snowmen. Maybe cause they're shaped like me? 😜 Red and white is her theme. She has hundreds of Hallmark and Disney ornaments, all still in the box. My job is to put them back in the proper box and tetras them into the plastic totes when we take them down. Several are 40 years old.

@Timtoolman 😂 Collections are so cool. 💕I decorate and un-decorate, the dh brings down/moves back all the boxes and containers....😁My theme is Christmas, all types of decorations, mostly glass. I even have glass icicles that are a beautiful addition.We have vintage glass balls (3 sizes/colors) that were my dh's parents (60's). 🎄
