@MMA It's hard to do, but you need to get tough on the car. Tell her you need it back and offer to sell it to her so you can get another one to replace it. If she is getting everything she needs without working, then she won't work.

@Phil I worked for a farmer when I was a teen. We were in the pig pen fixing a wire on the water tank heater - farmer was squatted down working - and a pig bit him on the rear-end. It was the only time I ever saw him lose his cool. I hope you don't have pigs. Terrible critters.

@Phil I like it. Don't try to off-road it too hard and it will be great. They have a weak tie rod in the front end and it will fold under hard use. The Hummer 2 had the same problem. For highway and dirt road use it will never cause a problem.

@Phil He needs to wear over ankle boots when riding. At the least hiking boots, better all leather work boots. Ankles and feet are common injuries on motorcycles.

@Phil I made a lucky decision years ago and invested in a couple of MLPs. They pay a "return on capital" and it is taxed at the corporate tax rate. Basically the income is tax free. Your taxes are more complicated to do with a K1 but it's worth it. There's a couple that will pay $60k tax free on an investment of about $800k.Look at Energy Transfer, Enterprise Products.Magellan MLP used to be the best paying but I think it changed away from MLP.
