       @penguin42 Sure, you *could*. So it would be fine for Israel to attack hospitals, mass-murder civilians and generally wipe its arse with the Geneva convention, just until every hostage has been returned?

       @Coffee No, but it seems to be very one sided to just insist Israel stop doing bad things; and I don't really see them budging, whatever anyone else wants, until they get hostages back.  The best outcome is if both things happen.

       @penguin42 If the UN and the """West""" keep being lily-livered, of course Israel is going to keep murdering. Some pressure from the US in particular would do the situation a world of good.I agree that both things happening would be for the best. And what better time for hostage negotiations than under a ceasefire?

       @penguin42 I see I forgot to address your first point. Of course it's one-sided, as this conflict is one-sided. Israel has vastly more military power, and its response to Hamas' provocation is beyond any measure, not to mention breaking all international laws.

       @penguin42 Concentration will be allocated in proportion to the harm being perpetrated.Neither moaning or hoping will accomplish anything. We need to take it to the streets. Call, mail, write politicians until they get sick of us. The violence must stop.
