       The utter uselessness of slogans when both Israel supports and Hamas supporters are using the word "decolonization" to describe the atrocities both sides commit.Maybe if we focused on action instead of the most nuanced, zeitgeisty, updated words we might accomplish a whole lot more.

       Sometimes I feel like so much of this sloganeering coming out of liberalism/progressivism is them desperately trying to find an analytic lens without ever meaningfully critiquing power.

       Slightly related, but the spectre of nazism has absolutely poisoned discourse where we have people calling Israeli/Palestinians nazis along with Russians/Ukranians. And no atrocity can exist on its own and simply be evil. It's only bad if it can be rhetorically compared to the nazis of the 1930s in Germany.

       I feel like I'm going insane. We have endless knowledge at our finger tips. Books upon books about the nature of fascism, colonialism, power, capital, etc. And yet it seems lie *fucking nobody* has any interest in understanding the nature of the world. Just shouting what makes them feel good in spite of mountains of evidence against their clams. Goddamn post-truth ass world we're living in.
