       我很荣幸受邀参加逝去的华人跨儿纪念日活动。我们讨论了作为移民的双重文化身份、同化与传统之间的两极分化。当有人用蔑视的态度讨论我们的文化的时候，我们自然会想要抵制殖民主义和白人至上主义的倾向。但我们自己的文化中也有一些我们不认同的保守性的传统。我个人认为，跨性别与其说是一种身份，不如说是一种经历。作为一名跨儿心理治疗师，我承认我们这个群体作为跨性别者集体经历的创伤，我们都生活在恐跨的世界里。幸存者的负罪感是很真实很强烈的，我很感激能作为社群的一员。我很高兴我们能共同讨论和反思内化的恐跨，以及我们作为一个集体所面临的心理健康挑战。我想说，跨儿的生命是美好的。没有多少人能在一生中活两次。I feel privileged that I was invited by @cnfeminismto and @oneamongus_ca to participate Transgender Day of Remembrance and Resilience to remember my fellow Chinese trans siblings.We discussed the dual cultural identities as an immigrant, the polarization between assimilation and tradition. We naturally want to resist the colonial and white suprimacist tendencies when someone is trying to talk down to our culture. There are also certain traditions in our own culture that we don’t agree with.I personally see being trans as more of an experience than an identity. As a trans psychotherapist, I acknowledge the trauma our community collectively experienced as trans people living in the transphobic world. While the survivor’s guilt is intense and valid, I am grateful to be with my community.I’m happy we discussed collectively reflected on internalized transphobia, mental health challenges we face as collective. I want to say that trans lives are beautiful. Not many people get to live twice in one lifetime.
