@clive I think the trickiest part would be how to assign the weights of the different congresscritter investments and trades. But even still, especially if you did something like add more weight to defense contractor buys done by people on defense subcommittees and such, you could probably figure it out.

@clive I wonder why only 20% - the examples given are all pretty significant gains so you'd think it'd be a much larger overall gain.Maybe loss examples weren't posted and many of the "good buying windows" were missed due to the time of disclosure?

@clive That's kind of interesting, but the lag time between when a member of Congress buys or sells a stock and when the public disclosure happens makes the strategy worthless in general. In short, the bot got lucky and the owner of it needs to disclose that.

@clive I saw a TikTok of this awhile back and saved it for posterity; a bunch of politicians were buying up PayPal stock and it made no sense.Checked it out earlier this year to follow up and see if that investment in PayPal panned out: it didn't amount to much.It's worth monitoring and continuing to amplify for sure though.
