       @thenewoil i don't understand these responses. what does the linux foundation have to do with google's app store security problems? teaming up with google is dangerous. google's money can steamroll the linux foundation. seems to me linux foundation's more natural association would be promoting F-Droid and its open source apps.

       @Archilochus Google - and many other Big Tech companies - actually benefit tremendously from open source (mostly by being able to use it without paying for it to bootstrap their own operations. If you own a recent car, you should go find the license acknowledgements. It's pretty wild). Helping TLF's JDF is a win for them as much as everyone else. It is very purely self serving, but not everything has to be malicious to benefit them.
