       I just recovered files from my wife's old computer (windows) before wiping it and putting Ubuntu on it.Incidentally, I needed the machine so I could use a very custom app which required windows, but it was easier to install it as a VM.I could not BELIEVE the amount of popups and crap that happened when that computer started. Windows is so badly behaved, it is incredible.
