@ken @ProPublica #healthcare is nuts because basically private insurance is a scam where you pay a company monthly and they use part of that money to try and make sure they don’t give any back

@ken @ProPublica The US may have great healthcare providers but the way we pay for it is insane. Private insurance is incentivized to deny claims. I once worked for a company who's primary product was helping providers (physicians) navigate the claim system. Their edge in the market is a database and set of rules to avoid the denial landmines of payers (insurance companies).

@ken @ProPublica thank you! my kid had a worker's comp claim denied recently with no explanation, and I've forwarded this to them to see if we can't get them the physical therapy they've needed for more than a year
