I was going to pick up my farm share after work this evening and got t-boned by an 18-year-old running a red light on 101, which knocked me and my new electric car across four lanes and into a chain link fencefortunately my partner was here this evening and was with me almost immediatelyER says nothing is broken but I'm pretty banged upthe upshot is, shit can happen at any time, have your medical paperwork current, and try to live so you'd have no regrets

@futurebird yes to all of thisI was resistant to formal diagnosis for a long time because I didn't like the idea of labeling my kid as having "a problem"the "accommodations" my kid needed to be successful in school were pretty minor, but we needed the diagnosis to even get in the door with administrators and teachers to have meetings to talk about what those accommodations would look like
