In service-related interactions (airline, gym check-in, etc.) I'm noticing that app-based automation has started to cannibalize basic human interactions -- e.g., there's often not even a "hello" or "goodbye" anymore, just a person doing other things behind a counter unless you poke them.It feels like being trained to see the inevitable full automation as a net improvement, because the robots will always be "friendly".An economic system gradually optimizing humanity out of itself.
