So today, I joined the Fedora Accessibility Working Group meeting. I felt pretty good for a while. But then we started working on the vision and mission statements in Etherpad. I felt really embarrassed. I had never used this before, and I use Chrome like a lot of other people, and like, NVDA was repeating lines or reading the line above where I was, so much of the five minutes we worked on this was used by me to try to find accessibility information. Luckily for next time, I just tried it in Firefox and it seemed to read a lot better. Still though, I just felt so useless there. But it's just the start of this working group, and I hope more blind people come in and contribute. I just feel like I don't hav much I can contribute to this. I mean if Etherpad is like this, where I have to try multiple browsers on a fast-paced meeting, I don't know. Maybe I'm just too slow. I'll have to get used to Gitlab too. I don't know. After that I kept asking myself what I thought I was doing there. maybe other blind people will be better than I am.https://board.net/p/FedoraAccessibilityWG#accessibility #blind

@devinprater Hon --If the Accessibility Working Group is that unprepared to deal with blind people, think about the rest of Fedora. They desperately need intelligent, blind people to tell them what's not working, and make the system better for everyone.
