It's amazing how much blind loyalty people have to #GoogleChrome. I was attending a lecture the other day where the lecturer clicked on a YouTube link from their presentation and when they realized the computer has automatically opened it in #MicrosoftEdge, they closed the window and reopened it in Chrome! Why?!

@gunther I think with this example Chrome doesn't matter. I'll switch to Firefox purely of being used to it, because my privacy and freedom choices determine what am I used to, but while using computer we take path of least resistance in our head. But I can't get over something different. When I try to promote Firefox and someone reposonds that "Chrome sync all my booksmarks and history with my phone", like if other browser could not do it. I even get being used too or not having time, but some people are so blindly following the most popular thing...

Personally, I'm not crazy about either browser, but there's literally no difference in this context. Edge and Chrome are both Chromium-based and are functionally identical for the purposes of playing a YouTube video. It's crazy how much the "uninstall Internet Explorer and use Chrome instead" mentality from 1-2 decades ago (back when it made some sense) persists into 2023 when it really doesn't.
