       @slashdot I remember spending a truckload of money on a Windows 95 computer, and it became absolutely unusable a few years later due to malware and viruses.  So, I swore I'd never be sucked in again, and spent a fraction of that on a better used computer, on which I installed Corel Linux, from a promo that a store gave out free.  I then tried SuSE, Mandrake, (both bought in stores), Libranet, Knoppix, and, with the release of Sarge, settled on Debian.  It was an exciting time.
