       There's this whole conversation in my all white male workplace about how wonderful Chat GPT is and how we can use it and the only downside being "occasional hallucinations" and as the Black Trans woman anthropologist I want to talk about the other downside being that "intelligence," whether artificial or not, is vastly fucking different than "mathematical probability" and that "empathy" in the form of "actual emotional intelligence" is something we should maybe focus on because if we look back across the landscape of what structures white men have built with such tools in the past they seem to always end up painful or straight up fucking deadly to people who look like me.But… you know… I'd like to keep my job… so don't harsh on the white dudes' mellow, man.
