@tim Man, that piece is *so* goodI had forgotten your central point about the centrality of media in those flicksThe riff on the cassette era is fascinating, and it also made me ponder how — while many people edited cassettes, I.e. spliced together snippets of audio, making mixtapes — many many fewer ever edited video, in the VHS eraThe editing tech just wasn’t there on a mass scale
