       there's something really wrong with people's mindsets when they're amazed that my 10 year-old laptop can perform most daily computing tasks.  Like they expect that it won't be able to stream video or something even though they know this laptop could stream video back in 2013...the only task it's not well-suited for is gaming (no vulkan support is annoying tbh) but even then there are so many new pixel games and low-poly games getting made that can easily run on 10 or even 20 year old hardware.

       @snickerbockers In fairness, 2013 vs 2023 is a whole lot different than 2003 vs 2013. Computers have been Good Enough for most interactive use for a while now, but that longevity’s a pretty new thing.
