I'm annoyed that I can't include the pretty user-friendly mode editor from the channel settings to the user settings, too. I need the available user modes, but 004 is unreliable and there's no ISUPPORT token that lists them. Baaaaaaa :baa:

I can't believe that during all this time, nobody thought to implement things like that? Everyone was just happy with the text adventure style handling of things? Really?

@volpeon@is-a.wyvern.rip as far as I can tell most usermodes go un-used except by opers or those looking to develop the software tbh. most users I've seen will skip over most umodes. chanmodes are far more used and useful.

@dracoling@firetribe.org To be fair, yes, I have never used user modes myself either. But mostly because I didn't care since things worked anyway. But now that I see the available modes on Ergo, there are some I would've loved to add to the user settings UI, such as +i or +R. +B is actually possible because it's advertised with the BOT ISUPPORT token.

@volpeon@is-a.wyvern.rip I've seen very few IRCd implementations with colliding umodes, maybe you could hard-code the main/most-common ones and just show a 'more...' type thing with unrecognized modes?

@volpeon Huh. Well. May be worth bringing up on their suggestions repo or in their IRC channel on Libera? Obviously it won't retroactively fix every server out there, but might be worth a discussion?
